What’s New Today
- If you have not noticed lately, Bob Stokes is getting up in years. I have just had my 85th birthday last month and Stella Sikes has agreed to take over the web site for Root Seekers. She has already started cleaning up some of my mess and doing an outstanding job. This morning we uploaded about 240 new obituaries to the Kaufman County Database. I am requesting that at the next meeting, she be appointed the WebMaster (?) Mistress(?). If you want to continue the website, you must give her your support. That means that you will submit articles to her just as you do to Patsy for the Newsletter. That is another person to congratulate. I have been missing the Newsletter and want to say to Patsy that this issue is well done. Thank both of you, Stella and Patsy, for the work you are doing. on
- Andy Norton will present the program, “A Look Back at the American Cincinnatus”, at the February 15, 2016 Root Seekers meeting. on
- Margaret Ann Trail will present the program, “Henry Martyn Robert,” at the January 18 meeting. on
Monthly Archives: August 2012
Today we have concluded the series of “Where to Write” for Vital Records with the inclusion of Montana and the Virgin Islands.
We are almost there. We add the States of Washington and Wyoming. That leaves one state and one territory to complete the series of “Where to Write.”
Reminder: Always Look Down at the Bottom of this Column to Know what this month’s Program will be. Keep informed.
We try to let you know what the monthly program will be. To get ahead of the game, look at the announcements in the menu item, “Upcoming Programs.”
