Confederate Portrait Album

Warren Bassham of Dallas, Texas, has provided images of the Confederate Portrait Album which, although not dated, has to be over a hundred years old. Originally, the hard covered book was given to encourage young people to buy Chicle “Kiss-Me” chewing gum. There are places to paste an image of the Confederate officer or government official in the blank spaces provided. The owner of this copy was able to obtain all but three of the stamps for the book. The only ones missing were for Generals Buchanan, Vaughan, and Tilghman.
