New books have been added to the Paula Davis Genealogical Library

The Paula Davis Genealogical Library at Tri-County Library on Market Street in Mabank, Texas, had added a number of new books to the collection. As with all our reference volumes, these may be used in the library but are not available for check-out. Members of the Root Seekers Genealogical Society volunteer on Tuesday mornings to assist any visitor or member who needs assistance.

This is a list of those that were cataloged and shelved this month:

Purchased by RSGS
Bertie County North Carolina Marriage Abstracts 1755-1869
North and South Carolina Marriage Records From the Earliest Colonial Days to the Civil War
Early Kentucky Householders 1787-1811
Quaker Marriage Certificates: Pasquotant, Perqumans, Piney Woods, and Suttons Creek Monthly Meetings, North Carolina, 1677-1800
West Virginia Estate Settlements, An Index to Wills, Inventories, Appraisements, Land Grants, and Surveys to 1850

Donated by Nina Hendricks
The Civil War Source Book by Philip Katcher
The Civil War – A Photographic History
Battle Cry of Freedom – The Civil War Era from The Oxford History of the United States

Books in the library are bought using funds from annual dues, seminars, and other fund raising events and also from the generosity of individual members and others who donate books to add to the collection. The library is named for one of the charter members of the Society whose collection was donated to the library by her husband upon Paula Davis’ death.
